On Friday the 20th of January we presented Vitur Summit 2023 #LeadingTogether at FITUR.
The presentation took place at the Andalusia Stand, with speeches by:
- Ms. María de Rueda, Director General of Quality, Innovation and Tourism Development of the Andalusian Regional Government.
- Mr. Carlos Pérez-Lanzac de Lorca, founder of Vitur Summit and president of the Andalusian Association of Short Term Rentals and Holiday Apartments Professionals (AVVAPro).
- Mr. Miguel Ángel Sotillos Rodríguez, President of the Spanish Federation of Holiday Rentals Associations FEVITUR.
During the presentation they highlighted the leading role of the holiday rental sector, “a key and already consolidated pillar of tourism and the economy of the region”, with an impact of more than 3,700 million euros.
The sector “has already established itself as a fundamental strategic accommodation segment for any destination and tourism model” and has “good growth prospects for another year”.

Vitur Summit is Europe’s largest event for the holiday rentals industry, and will be returning to Malaga from the 10th to the 12th of May, making the city, once again, the European benchmark for this sector.
In 2023 Vitur Summit will once again be the meeting point for professional managers, investors, owners, professional companies, startups, platforms, institutions, associations and media specialised in short term rentals, alternative accommodation and serviced apartments.
In the framework of Vitur, and given the success of the first event, the ‘Vitur Forum España’ will be held again. A national meeting on holiday rentals and flexible accommodation in which last year, more than 200 investors, operators and companies in the sector participated.
As in the two previous events, the “apartment of the future” will also be addressed in the ‘Vitur Living Experience’, but this time the focus will be more on sustainability and technological advances, since after the pandemic it has been established as a priority for the demand and the sector itself.
The energy issue, especially energy saving and carbon footprint, will also have its place at Vitur Summit 2023, as well as accommodation linked to the rise of remote work for digital nomads, residential tourism and health tourism.
